So I am a 17 year old going to college in 2 months and I have been very fat my last few years of high school due to a binge eating disorder I developed. I decided this summer I would like to burn as much fat as possible so I can wear normal clothes and fit in at my college. I have started working out at the gym, but I constantly read and hear that the best way to lose fat fast is to go into a calorie deficit and do cardio. It has been about a week now and I have stuck to a strict workout schedule of 6 workouts a week with 1 rest day and cardio at least 45 minutes everyday. My concern is my diet which I have decided will be 1 singular meal of 800 calories or less towards the end of the day 4-5 ish. I constantly hear that this is not a good idea as it is not sustainable and I won't last with this diet and I believed I would be too hungry and resort to binge eating, however strangely I feel great besides muscle soreness from workouts and I don't feel hungry throughout the day until nighttime where I feel very hungry which is what I felt even when I used to binge eat and when I wake up the next day I feel fine. I am still concerned that there will be some negative effects but so far in 4 days I have lost 4 pounds and I feel very great and think I can hit my weight loss goals before I go to college if I stick to my regimen.
EDIT: Also the 1 meal will not be a cheaty meal like a burger but instead something high in protein like a chicken salad bowl or rice and steak/chicken. I often eat out at healthier restaurants like Chipotle or salata so that I can still feel like I'm getting a cheat meal like when I had my binge eating phases
