Looking for advice

I'm overweight by about 100 lbs. I've lost and gained weight before but it never stays off.

For those who lost weight, especially ones with high amounts of weight, say 50-100 lbs, what was your motivation or drive to keep going?

I'm not looking for diet plans or exercise routines, just what did you do that made you switch from unhealthy behaviors to healthier ones so that you lost the weight?

I always seem to make plans and get started, however I can't keep the motivation up to continue and eventually go back to my old habits.

Appreciate any and all advice with this please.
