Hello reddit community! I am a 28yr old male, 5"11 and currently weigh 220lbs. My body fat estimate is somewhere between 22-24. I used to be 270lbs last year. Aiming to finally achieve 16% body fat for the first time in my life! I've been 200 since 13..
Currently I am aiming for a form of keto maintaining my carbs under 50 grams daily. Calorie intake is somewhere between 1600-1800 daily. I am a manager in a retail store so I average 12k steps 5 times a week. I am completing 100 push ups daily and doing core exercises, as well as 10-20mins of jump rope 3 times a week. My plan is to maintain all of this for a month and then introduce healthy carbs such as lentils, beans, quinoa, whole oats back into my diet and introduce weight lifting (I've lifted weights before and still have some remaining muscle mass, I did 6 months of 4 gyms sessions a week routinely.) My goal is the same that started my journey in late 2020. That is to have a picture of me where I don't have a belly/gut and finally take a picture of me shirtless. I don't want to live my life without ever seeing how I would look without excessive body fat.
Any questions or suggestions are welcome! Thank yall for reading this, have a great year!
