In a relationship with a partner who isn't into weight gain?

Are any of you out there is this situation? Does weight gain fill a huge part of your personal sexual psyche (as gainer or as encourager) but your partner not have any interest? I am having trouble coming to terms with this myself. We've chatted about this disconnect and have considered doing a more "open relationship" so we can explore parts of our sexuality the other isnt into. Has anyone been in a similar situation?
