Serious talk, do you think obesity will still be considered a disease by 2040?

I caught myself thinking lately, that considering the absurd influence the internet has on the planet's population nowadays, and other things like how what was considered obese a lot of decades ago is basically normal today (plus the obesity rate increasing in countries like the USA), do you guys think the community along with the fat acceptance movements that have been going on for a while will be able to change that point of view at least in some countries?

Honestly it would be a dream come true if places started accepting obese people and not seeing them or overweight as "sick" or "uncomfortable". But for now i can only wish...

I think it’ll still be considered a disease by the medical community, I just don’t think it will be seen as problematic to the same degree as it has been. Fat people are already living much longer than they used to and life has become much more convenient and accommodating.

Personally I don’t care if they classify it as a disease or not, people just need to stop fat shame and fatphobia. It doesn’t motivate people to lose weight; it’s just bullying.
