This is a time of year where lots of us will see family we don’t see too often. Inevitably, growing waist lines tend to raise some eyebrows..particularly in the context of a holiday that is all about stuffing yourself unashamedly.
For some people, this is a turn-on. We love people to know how big we are getting and the stares we now draw. For others, it can be embarrassing and something we try to hide.
For me, it’s a combination of both. My dad is a huge fitness fanatic, and constantly asks me on the phone how much exercise I’m getting and whether I’ve lost any weight. In reality, I’ve gone the opposite way haha. It’ll be awkward while I visit, but will encourage me to eat even more after I leave.
So how is it for you? What’re you looking forward to with relatives? What anxieties do you have?
