TLDR: Where should I invest my time and energy into next to proceed forward?
Good morning,
Long story short, I'm graduating in 10 days and I'm waiting to hear back from a company that might provide me with my "stable" income while I work on my wedding photography.
Worst case and I don't get the job, what should I focus on next to start booking more clients?
Last Month I made $1300 shooting weddings and portraits (2 weddings and 4 portraits). I got the weddings running craigslist ads for $500 full day wedding coverage. As a college student this was nice supplementary income but for a full time job it's nothing.
I want to transition from booking clients through craigslist to booking them through paid advertising, word of mouth, or vendor recommendations.
Before heading out to do this, is my website professional enough, do my photos show mid-tier weddings or low-tier weddings? Should I keep poking around on craigslist to keep building my portfolio? (I'm 7 weddings deep).
While I would like to shoot weddings starting at $1200, I do not know what I need to do first/next to send me in that direction.
More questions: If I plan to run Facebook Ads, what should the purpose of the campaign be? Reach, Lead Generation, or Engagement?
Here's my website. I know I need to add more images to my galleries, but final exams and assignments have been kicking my ass.
