What should I focus on next?
Post Body

Hey guys, I've been having some success with booking weddings and would like some advice as to what to focus on next.

I want to work on the following, but don't know what's most important or where I should start:

  • New Website Design
  • Blogging
  • Curating Social Media & Portfolio Photos
  • Finalizing Client Experience Workflow/Template

My website is more of a formality than an extension of my brand and I'd like to change that to make the fonts, colors and photos all match my (ideal) personal brand. (I can add a link to it if needed but don't want to be in violation of self promotion). I'm planning on changing the color of my "logo" and considering changing my company name to my name as googling the name (Chin's Photos) leads people to photos of chins. As traffic and SEO of my site increases my rankings, will I start to show up higher than the chins, or would it be better to change my name from the jump?

I haven't started blogging as never thought it would be as valuable for someone just starting out, but every person I've talked to stresses the importance of doing so.

As my editing has gotten better I've been able to make photos I took in the past look a LOT better and that has opened up a new set of photos I can use for my portfolio to demonstrate my style and have my social media feeds look aesthetic and show consistency.

With my current brides (4 at the moment!) I keep in touch with them regularly but I don't have a strict schedule tasks such as "Send this email on this day. Ask about this thing a month from the wedding day." I feel that since I'm still starting off and don't have a lot of clients to deal with this optimization is one that can come later, but past clients have accounted for a big part of my work through referrals so making their experience amazing should be a big priority on my list.

Any direction or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
