I have an old Asus Zenwatch (first version) that I've thought about wearing again. It's stuck on Android Wear 1.5.0 though; will that even be compatible with modern apps?
Post Body

I realize this is an old, old watch in terms of how fast technology moves, but really all I want out of a smartwatch is the ability to see notifications, mark off checklists on apps like Google Keep for grocery shopping, and set timers without needing to pull my phone out of my pocket. It just doesn't feel like I need a "new" watch for what I'm trying to do, at least, but I'm suspecting the software it's running is just too old. It does pair up with my phone (Pixel 3 XL), and notifications come through. However so far I've tried both Google Keep and AnyDo, and neither seem to want to install any sort of companion app on the watch.

That said, am I just shit out of luck with this watch if I want any apps to run on it? I realize it would be unreasonable to expect full functionality from any apps that did install, but I was hoping at the very least there might be limited functionality available for older versions of Wear OS.
