I'm playing a coffee shop next week and they told me i wouldn't mic'd up. I don't know if they're worried that I'll play too loud (I do a bunch of folk and oldies covers and a few top 40 hits so I'm really not all that loud) or what but I've never done a live performance like this. It's for a event so I'm guessing it will be pretty crowded and I feel like it might be awkward to be some guy playing a guitar and singing in the corner without being properly mic'd. Anyway, thought I'd reach out for some advice.
Thanks everyone!
Edit: I'm just starting to get into the "Performing covers live for money" thing so any advice you guys have pertaining to that would be appreciated as well. Especially if it has to do with how to get more tips :P
