I've been pretty serious about producing electronic music for the last 1.5 years and I've noticed that a song that would have taken me 2 months of daily work to be comfortable with calling done now takes me about 15-25 hours. Since I realized this I am wondering if anyone has any tips or philosophies around production that helps them work faster. The way I look at it, the faster I can pump out a good track, the faster I can move on to my next personal innovation. My goal is to one day get signed to a major label and I have heard stories of labels asking for things on a strict time frame. While I'm not at a professional level with my music yet, I would like to be prepared for that if and when it comes.
