I'm basically an amateur when it comes to producing music using DAWs. I'm an experienced bass and guitar player and I'm trying to make songs that are in between trap/hip hop and rock/pop. I don't have a problem with creating melodies in FL mobile(I'm using it as my primary daw, because I don't have money for PC version, and also I tried using torrent version of Fl and ableton and just decided it's too complicated for my current skill level) but as soon as I have to add drum/beat I get completely lost. I would like to learn how to make proper beats and how to synchronise them with other tracks. I went through few YouTube tutorials and honestly, they seem too complicated for me as well, and focused on things I don't want to think about at this stage(like quality, syncopated beats etc.). So if anyone has some beginner tips, I'd be very grateful.
