Getting an Acoustic Pickup to Sound Good
Post Body
I recently bought a Gretsch archtop w/ a single coil built in, and I liked the non-plugged in sound so much that I got a piezo acoustic pickup installed. I can't for the life of me get it to sound good at all, there's an incredibly sharp high-pitched spike that drives me insane, and it seems like no amount of EQ can fix it. The best I've gotten it to sound is by plugging it into a guitar amp, and turning the treble completely off.
Any suggestions for getting an acoustic pickup to sound good?
