How to help an inexperienced singer get 7/4 right?
Post Body
Well, she is not quite inexperienced. She has recorded over a dozen songs for different CDs but cannot read music and doesn't have a classical education.
I have this song that is partly in (quick) 7/4 8/4.
As for now she was always a quarter too late after the 7/4 because she naturally felt the music in straight 8/4.
She's the one who writes the lyrics and the vocal melodies so I don't really want to interfere. Or should I?
I can't attend the recordings so it's a bit difficult, especially because the producer is not a fan of the 7/4.
I think the singer singer should practice with a click.
Do you have other ideas?
Thanks a lot!
