Hi not a drummer but tomorrow morning I will be recording one for an album. The studio is booked for 8 hours and I thought my drummer was aware of that but today he calls me saying he can only stay for about 4 hours. Bad communication on both our parts, I know. I have already signed the forms. I have to pay for those 8 hours whether I use them all or not. Especially at this short of notice. I intend to use the studio time I'm paying for so I am going to attempt doing half the drumming on my own, only problem I have 0 experience drumming. I am not a stranger to rhythm theory, tempo etc. but I have never seriously done physical drumming.
These are some examples of the different kind of drum beats I am going to attempt (examples begin at when the video begins playing):

These are all pretty close on what I'll be trying to get.
Do you think somebody with no prior drumming experience would be able to learn these and play them for extended amounts of time (3-5 mins) in the span of about 30 minutes? and near or pretty much flawlessly? Really want to move things along and like I said I already paid for these hours so I want to know if this can be done by somebody who has always been behind the computer instead. Thanks.
Edit: yeah I'm not gonna try, gonna knock down 6 songs with him hopefully, we have already rehearsed and he is an incredibly competent drummer.
