Just copy pasting the vocals for repeating chorus cheating?
Post Body
Most songs have repetition of the chorus... Should I do the extra work of recording and mixing the vocals for the chorus as a new take for each chorus...or do a lot of productions literally just get a good take for the chorus and then copy and paste the chorus vocals and instruments in the DAW wherever it is repeated ,if they are note for note identical?

Yep, this is a pretty common practice. Especially since so much care goes into a comp to get it โperfectโ, and then have to spend hours chasing perfection again in the next chorus. Most of the time the choruses are flown, with added vocal harmonies or ad libs to make it feel fresh. There is nothing wrong with this.
