I'm part way through the first draft of a werewolf romance and I have a question about single versus multiple points-of-view.
The basic premise is that a human and her son are settling into a new town that happens to be full of werewolves. The love interest is obviosly a werewolf but FMC has no idea they exist.
I have the big "werewolves are real" reveal set to happen in the last 3rd of the book and for the story that's where it works. However, it's all written from her point-of-view. So right up until that point it reads like a regular romance, with a few strange quirks like everyone always knowing everything and the MMC always showing up where she is.
My thinking is that if I leave it as it is I'll lose a lot of readers as the book goes on and no werewolves are revealed, but as it'll be the first book I put up (and the first in an intended series) does it matter that much? Or should I go back and start adding in some scenes/chapters from the MCC's point of view so it's obviously a werewolf book from the start?
