Should I include the origin story if I'm writing a fanfic about an obscure character?

Post Body
I'm working on a fanfic about The Shadow, who was essentially the inspiration for Batman. I'm planning to make it a 10 chapter noir style collection of stories, like a TV show. Should I make a prologue that covers his origin or jump right into the action? I don't know and I'm curious what y'all think.
