The steps to a painting
Post Body

Hi everyone,

Iā€™ve been doing watercolors for about a year now and I practice nearly every day, or try to at least.

Iā€™m still struggling with one thing: I truly donā€™t know what to paint first when I am looking at a reference image and a blank page.

Unless I have a video tutorial, Iā€™m stumped. I hate it and Iā€™m embarrassed honestly. I know that I need to go ā€œlightest to darkestā€ but I have trouble actually breaking this down into steps.

Iā€™d love anyoneā€™s help with this, or links/ whatever!

Thank you in advance- this sun has been a wonderful find!
