So I’m going through the Watchmen again and I got to thinking about the Comedian? Was it ever explained why he tried to sexually assault her? The story heavily implies that she had feelings for him and they seemed to get along well from what we saw before the assault. She even seemed to forgive him Later on. I’m reading Under the Hood for the first time and Hollis Mason seems to believe that he was just a bad seed, although that might be coloured by the events that got him kicked out of the Minutemen. Obviously I’m not saying he was good... in a lot of ways, he wasn’t even a hero. I’m just wondering if his motive for the assault was explained, since she seemed to be attracted to him anyways.🤔
