Say what you will about the Zach Snyder film, but it did a good job of showing how otherworldly and powerful Dr. M really is. This origin sequence is beautiful.
As stylish and carefully crafted the HBO series is, Dr. M rarely felt like more than just a guy in blue body paint who had some personality quirks. Maybe it was just budget constraints, but the show really didn't have a lot of SFX or big set pieces, so I'd be disappointed if they cut corners on the very few scenes he's actually in. Am I the only one who feels like they missed on this aspect of the show?
