Rolex Unicorn

Hi there, I know very little about watches, and have just had one catch my eye, and was wondering whether somebody would be able to help with the association between Rolex and Unicorn watches. The one that I have had interest me is a 1930's art deco period 9ct gold Unicorn (claimed to be Rolex) and was wondering about the association with Rolex that Unicorn had in this period as I can't really seem to find anything anywhere else.
TL;DR - What's the association with 1930s Unicorn & Rolex?
