Post Body

So Iā€™m looking around at watches, and Iā€™d like to get myself an automatic watch as a going away present/ graduation gift. I do a lot of camping and am planning on going into forestry. Currently I wear an apple watch (please no hate for it, itā€™s incredibly useful especially the bpm and other smart watch features.) my worry is that Iā€™ll break it as I broke one before and had to get a replacement. Th watches Iā€™m looking at are the BOLDR Venture Carbon Black, the Seiko SRPJ81 or 85 (I quite enjoy the yellow instead of the white on the face, but having the bracelet style strap is also very intriguing.) and the Seiko SNK809. I am aware that the BOLDR is titanium and the Seikoā€™s are stainless steel. I am also aware that the BOLDR has a ā€œghost settingā€ on the crown. Both the BOLDR and the SRPJ81 are similarly priced at just under $300. I have seen the SNK809 for around $200. All of them are automatic, I would like to hear peopleā€™s opinions on these watches and if one is better than another. I appreciate any advice and feedback! Personally Iā€™m leaning towards the BOLDR due to the titanium and the 4 oā€™clock screw down crown. However, I do not know much about the internals of any of the watches. I have heard that the SNK809 does not have nearly as much water resistance as the other watches
