Another criminally overlooked brand is Ball. I own two Ball watches and they are really well made, unique and enjoyable (my other Ball is a collab GMT with BMW). Ball specializes in tool watches and the Engineer Hydrocarbon fits the bill perfectly. While I’ll (hopefully) never need to take this watch 1,000 ft down, I’m sure it’s quite capable of handling that depth and this watch has the strongest lume I’ve ever encountered making it a breeze to read at night. If you haven’t discovered Ball, I definitely recommend checking them out.
