Hi guys! Iām interested in buying a Hamilton khaki king in the near future. Due to the price and being my first true luxury purchase I am doing some research so I can get the most out of this watch.
In my research I have noticed 2 standout issues. The 50m water rating and the failure typically happening within the first 2 years of ownership. The 50m I can deal with if it can survive a handwashing. However the failure rate of the watch is what bugs me considering the repair cost is above the initial msrp.
This is not my first automatic watch. To everyone who has either owned this watch or has a good experience with Hamilton in general, is this watch worth picking up? Are the service costs too much? I want to make the best purchase possible and have this for many good years.
Thank you all for your time!
