The creators have 2 weeks to work on enough content to differentiate season 2 from the cancelled season.
They’ve reportedly already found the root cause of the hate speech, so their resources would be best spent making the come back of the show seem novel enough that people move past the Larry incident.
I really hope Oldman gets added as a character, and they get a cafe scene to converse in.
