In order to further secure lands in California and protect the peasants and laborers in the region from their own local pseudo-feudal statelets and from the evil grasp of the imperialist slavers in Baja, the CCC has seen fit to annex the lands of Santa Barbara and the majority of the Mojave into the PRC. In addition to the liberation of its people, we will be using the lands for their resources. The Mojave is home to the single largest and most productive iron mine west of the Mississippi, along with massive deposits of tin and other useful minerals. So, in accordance with the First Four Year Plan of the Great and Grant Revolutionary Proletarian Republic of California, these regions have officially been annexed and will be integrated into the Proletarian Republic as soon as possible. Seven thousand CAPLA troops will be stationed in the Mojave, with eleven thousand in the Greater Los Angeles region to protect the border regions from the enemies in the south.
