Riley finished his speech off of San Francisco City Hall to the cheering crowds. As he had been rallying the people to the cause of renewed expansion after roughly a year of little to know change in borders, Riley had made it obvious that the Revolution had to be spread everywhere at all costs. Only once the alliance of global socialist states had been made could the world transition into full communism, where we would all live in our voluntary communal utopias. It would be great and would solve practically all of society's issues, but until then the hierarchical states that surrounded the Proletarian Republic would need to be annexed.

As soldiers of the California People's Liberation Army, or CAPLA, marched into Bakersfield, they stormed into the holdings of the overlords of the people with firearms and blades galore. Only a few small battles were fought, as the farmers of the region saw their liberators approach and rose up against the oppressive feudal leaders that commanded them.

All across California people heard of the Proletarian Republic's freeing of the people, and all across California the workers and farmers readied themselves for the day when Riley would come and help them.
