Heya! I started yesterday playing Wasteland 3, and after reaching the new ranger base, got inot the "let's see your recruits" part.
I have played Wasteland 2, and I somewhat recall having in my ranger squad mostly pre-built characters that joined as the story moved on, so I'm not sure how this works in 3: If I fill all the slots on my ranger squad now, I guess later I will be able to replace them, but do they stay at base or they are lost? Are there going to be new potential rangers (glad to see that that character from Wasteland 2 maybe is alive!) to join my squad? Can I just change characters as I see fit randomly without worrying?
On the other hand, I found on gamefaqs (directed by this same sub) a neat guide for characters for Wasteland 2. I had to do a bit of cheating to min/max (glad to see the game now has in-game respec mechanic), but overall things went smooth. What would be the max of skills to invest in a character on Wasteland 3? I've seen the character descriptions list only 3 skills, so I guess that's a good starting point, but it would hurt push it to 4 or 5? I recall being able to have a squad in 2 with most "utility" skills maxed out -or at least at a reasonable level- so I guess it shouldn't be so hard to plan around, right?
