I feel pretty angry that I will be laid off this week. The company that I work for is down 60% and this is the second round of layoffs. I think what upsets me the most, is that I often get compliments and told how great I am and that I was next in line for a promotion. They told my coworker which has been working there for over a decade, over the time I have been working there we became close. She was unable to keep it to herself and told me. My heart dropped and I felt a sense of anger, I felt betrayal from this stupid company. Now I have to prepare myself to hear the news from one of my upper bosses and look surprised. I consider myself lucky to have been blessed with the job when I needed it, hopefully something better comes soon but 🤬
