Full disclosure, I’m an Oregonian (WWU grad) who watched the debate on KREM 2’s YouTube channel, but after watching the debate, I think Bob Ferguson’s debate delivery is way better overall and far clearer in terms of specific policy proposals but I can’t stand his bickering with Dave Reichert over interruptions and I don’t like him bringing national politics to the debate stage (regarding Dave Reichert’s alleged support for Trump) as an attack line.

On housing, Reichert gave a non-answer by trying to connect crime to the housing crisis while Ferguson emphasized private-public partnerships (rather than repealing cumbersome zoning regulations at a large scale) and I liked neither answer.

I felt like Ferguson was a little dodgy on the question of the North Spokane Corridor (and transportation more broadly), didn’t really answer the question, and neither did Reichert.

What are your guys’ thoughts on the governor’s debate?
