Hello! I've recently moved back to WA after some time away and am living somewhat remotely. I am having a hard time making friends and finding community, so I thought I'd reach out here and see if anyone has some suggestions. I'm looking for in-person community most of all, but a local discord server or something that could lead to in-person meetups would be good also. So my questions are:

1. What kinds of secular organizations are you in? I'm looking for something in skagit, or island county (near Camano), although I would travel to whatcom or snohomish for the right fit. I am looking for volunteer opportunities and/or social communities of some sort. Most of what I've found near me are religious-based organizations. I would prefer something left-leaning, but I'm open to a lot of possibilities.
2. Do you know of any local discord servers or similar online groups that are location-based? I was in a group like this in a different state and it was how I met a lot of my friends. I have poked around a little and haven't found an active server that seemed like it wasn't geared towards teens or very young people specifically.
3. Any other thoughts/suggestions? My family is lovely and all for the most part, but I'd like to be able to hang out with people besides just them. :D
