Fees too high?
Post Body

I just sent $26 (0.00059670 BTC) to my wasabi wallet in order to check how it works. I ended up having just $16 in my wallet. This is crazy, almost half lost. Glad I didn’t send more. Does anyone know where the $10 went. Can’t believe it’s fees, this platform will be useless to everyone if fees are almost half of every transaction…Hope someone can explain. Thanks!

Thank you! Will keep that in mind :)

That’s super strange. They only showed $0.54 as a fee on their side …

Yes but I told you the $26 was after their 2% fee. So where do you think those $10 went?

The 2% Skrill fee was already accounted for. $26 left my account after the fee and I can see just $16 in Wasabi now. Just seems a huge fee even it it’s fixed. Don’t you think?

I sent it from my Skrill account to the bitcoin address that Wasabi generated for me

My fee was like $10. If am to send $2000 would it be still around $10 or much more?

Thanks! I guess that’s just with this kind of wallet right? I’ve never paid such high fees on a standard wallet.

As high as they are, they can’t be 40%. Does it have to do with the nature of wasabi wallet? I got some bitcoin a few days ago and the fee was negligible.
