I have mentioned in past posts and comments that I am a casual player who gave up on Warzone and stopped playing completely. Between issues with console play and not having the skill to play without wanting to eat a real bullet after an hour of constant deaths and maybe a kill or two, I have lost all interest in loading into a lobby for some time now. From what I have read on here and other sites while researching, it looks like a large portion of the games casual players have decided to abandon ship for games more fitting to their skill level and commitment. Why is this though, and what could bring back a number of them to try again? I am strictly a solo player. Always have been. Because of this, and because of my average (on the lower side) I have always been one to play slower and less aggressive. Anytime I try to push or run and gun like the streamers I watch I end up spending more time in pregame lobbies than I do actually playing the game. I wanted to run and gun! I wanted to get those 10-15 kill games. I wanted to get wins. Realistically though, I just didn’t have the skill to play that way. One thing that helped level that field for me and help me to last longer was Ghost. Having the ability to hide and “camp” without sweats being able to track me down with a simple purchase of a UAV meant I could last longer into the game and possibly grab a sneaky kill or two. Yes, streamers and sweats hate this and complain, but their skill level and time played was their advantage and we needed ours. Instead they griped because they want their easy kills and their 20 kill massacres and have no concern for the players who can’t do the same. Campers are hated and scorned, but there’s a reason so many players do it!!! This game is amazing in so many ways! We all love it for one thing or another and all want to enjoy the playing experience and try to improve. Having said that, campers do not enjoy hiding! We don’t like staring at walls and trying to ride out the player count. Unfortunately though, many of us don’t have a choice. Again, yes we can all run and gun “to get better,” but really others just want us to do that so their kill count can be fed. We however, are just trying to do our best to possibly luck into a win every now and then. Recently, as everyone knows, the devs decided to make the one change that would drastically alter the game for everyone, whether good or bad depending on where you stand. Streamers and sweats are basking in this change, but those of us struggling just found ourselves being pushed out the door and finding even more reason to give up on this game we all love, but some just can’t play, lol. So now the player count that is already dwindling is being decreased even more by the day. One thing that could bring some of us back is the one thing many or you won’t like to hear or see at all. For many they would rather have those kills and easy targets more than a flourishing player base. I for one would come back immediately if I could regain this small advantage that I once had. Otherwise it’s just not fun to be cannon fodder for others. Ultimately I expect nothing to change. Many will read this and be glad players like myself are gone while others will empathize and possibly be in the same boat. Regardless of Ghost, sweats and streamers will always get their kills and their wins. Nothing will change this. Bringing back Ghost though may just give the rest of us a chance to find ourselves in a few end game scenarios and we may even have a kill or two. In the end it’s a simple question, do we need the weaker players hanging around or do we shed their dead weight and move forward with those who are really good at the game and others who are glutens for punishment and willing victims to said players. I love and miss Warzone terribly, but I’m not interested in the massacres that take place when I try to play. Ghost would once again allow me to blend in and avoid death as often. I for one would welcome this correction and change to the current game!
