So I went throught a lot of things and finally found a fix. Connect to your desired wifi and them you need to go to settings>network settings>set up internet>press option button>Wifi frequency bands> choose either 2.4ghz or 5ghz> test connection.

So 2 things to note here:

• Your wifi frequency is on automatic by default, so it keeps switching between 5ghz and 2.4 ghz which causes the lagging. So test connection for each to see which one gives you better mbps and just use that. Me im using 2.4ghz since I get more mbps out of it.

• if you have a wired connection, the reason it might be spiking is because you have you wifi connection set up as well. Simply delete the wifi set up and it should stop the issue.

This worked very well for me, really hoping I can at least help someone else out too.
