How do people stack up on smoke gernades so much?

Watching players like strahfe I really love his smoke strategy, I tried it in game and I seem to be averaging 10 kills way more often after trying it. But I don't understand how to get smokes.
I know that the refill station gives you 2 after you get your loadout, I know that mutation crates gives you them. But how else can you get so many?
