10+ year plantar wart healing journey!
Post Body

Hi all!

After years of thinking this thing was a corn, I finally had it addressed by a podiatrist! He confirmed it is a wart and he treated it with chemical and told me to wash it off after 40 minutes and that it could blister within 24-48 hours. He also prescribed me a topical 40% salicylic acid to apply directly onto the wart every second day, and cover with tape after.

It became painful lesion and I couldn’t walk on it well the next few days after. It was so painful!

3-7 days after the pain died down and it was more manageable, I still couldn’t walk with my foot flat on the floor - have been walking on the side of my foot lol

7-10 days later I am adapting to walking on it better again. I put duct tape on it today and this is what happened when I peeled the duct tape off….

I also tried to pop the blister underneath to see what would happen, but turned out all this brown paste came up instead! I gently pressed until it finished coming up. But does anyone know what this gunk is? Is it the wart itself? Or is it something else

Thanks Hope this is almost over! I’m due to go back to the podiatrist tomorrow to check up with it.
