So I've been playing for a long time now, but it wasn't until the recent sales where I picked up the American Premium P-47, and the D-13 that I thought it might be time to check out realistic battles, having only those two planes of those tiers to fly.
Now, I know the general specs of most planes in warthunder. Zeros are really turn-fighty, FW190s are fast, etc. But as I'm now playing realistic, these differences are much more pronounced than in arcade, and the individual talents of a given plane are really important to understand.
Long story short, how do I figure out the specific quirks of any given plane? It seems like things like things like energy retention, maneuverability and control surface locking (to name a few examples.) are really esoteric a lot of the time. Like, I said, I can get the broad strokes of these things, but really understanding the specifics gets hard it seems. Sometimes I wonder if it requires a good amount of out of game research to really understand how a specific plane with function.
So, how do I pick up this information?
