AMX-1A worth it on sale?

I was looking to grind the Italian air tree and missed out of the F104S a couple months ago. Not like it’s any better but is the AMX-1A good to get or should I try to get a rank 7 and then talisman? I’ve watched a bunch of review vids and pretty much everyone is saying it’s not totally worth it… It’s basically an A-10 in the way it plays in air rb.
