Edit: I have spoken to a few of you and it opened my mind a little more. Especially in the newer book. I think Bramblestar is a bit to blame, first off three medicine cats is excessive and a weird flex. The clans could see it as intimatdation and I'm turn have less faith in their own medicine cats. Darktail is also to blame. The clans were betrayed by the young cats of that there is no doubt. But undoubtedly they feel scorned by starclan and their prophecies and the cats who grant them. Making it easy to place blame and even hatred for them if a car even so much as breathes wrong.
Like all they want to do is heal cats, is it the lack of clan boundaries? Or even the friendship they have with other Medicine cats that spark suspicion? From Mothwing, yellowfang, to Jayfeather and Aldeeheart. These cats are torn up to lose a cat, and the clans go around talking smack like that cat didn't try.
It could even be blamed on their faith in the stars, if it contradicts what the leader thinks it can't be right. Especially since Mothflight was the only cat I've not get hounded for murder. Just suspicion because she never went I moonpool. Honestly that's been bugging me since the first arc. And let me add that they have had medicine cats have to trade clans due to the demise or illness of their medicine cat and no cats died from it
Might just be my perspective tho. Lemme know what you think
