Faction targeting question? Can a Skorne warlock cast a Minion's Animus on his Skorne beasts.

My Warlock (Naaresh1) with a Blackhide Wrastler wants to cast its Animus (rage) on a Archidon, both in his battlegroup. I know the Blackhide Wrastler can't target the Archidon, because they're different factions (Minion and Skorne), but if Naaresh1 is casting it, will it work?
Edit: I should have added that I'm playing in the Theme Disciples of Agony that allows Skorne Warlocks to Control Minion 'beasts.
