Need help to clarify Charge rules!!!

Ok so the way my friends and I have been playing is that on a charge you have to use up your movement and initial attack. So if I pay one focus to charge with my crusader with his mace...does that end his initial attack and have to buy more afterwards... or can I still use my open fist for free and then buy more with my mace?
Also, for warcasters and warlocks do you have to spend a focus or fury to run or charge or is it free to run or charge?
