I want to start this post by saying this isn’t an attack on y’all’s hobby. I started my warhammer journey with total war and the malus books and really do enjoy the the setting of the old world and for 3-4 years it was all of my warhammer knowledge before I recently dipped into AOS with war cry.
With that said I’m curious why people stuck with warhammer fantasy rather than moving into age of sigmar. From what I’ve heard warhammer fantasy was beyond expensive to get into and play and it seemed like it was suffering from rules bloat, and even the new release will be expensive forge world stuff.
While I didn’t live through the end times I heard some horror stories about it’s release and how GW treated the fantasy base and I can see that turned people away from the hobby for a while. But if you jumped back in why not shift to the new world?
Like I said I’m just really curious what made this setting/game so special that you stuck with it.
