Loyalist Chapter - Red Wolves - Lore discussion

Post Body

Years ago I started a chapter of "space wolves" called Red Wolves. The loyalist Red Wolves are mysterious to say in the least. Not a lot of lore that I can dig up. For years I have hunted the internet for answers. Who is their primarch? When were they founded? but nothing.

I'm finally going to start the big undertaking of painting my wolves model.... Before though I was looking to have a discussion. Thoughts. Theories. Conspiracies. I'm not against homebrew at all! Personally, I just want this army to match the lore. Theres some sentimental mumbo jumbo with these particular models. So Im hoping a discussion can get kindled. It'll help me decided on team red or ol' fashioned team blue for my space wolves models. So lore-wise the models match the army. At least until 10th edition....

This is what I know about the loyalist Red Wolves:

• Homeworld: Blood Fall in Segmentum Solar. (same as space wolves)

â—˜ Tyranids nomed their world. So fleet based now.

• Mostly Primaris. Thanks to Robo-man. Otherwise would be very... grim outlook for the chapter.

• Been around, history-wise, since 750.M41 (not much history really)

• They have a ritual called the "Blooding". White scars? Space wolves? Blood angels?

My thoughts: (speculation disclaimer territory from here forward) I feel like they were a planned successor of the space wolves but scraped. That or left as a plot hole for exactly this by games workshop. Just the space wolves having no first born successor is a bit of a hole that makes all this more.... confusing to speculate. Mostly because they are in the same Segmentum. Have a similar ritual, in name only at least, and chapter symbol. Plus originally from a death world. Not that means much when talking about homeworlds.

Blood Angels, i feel like that its unlikely. They don't seem to be at the devastation of ball. Mentioned anywhere I have found of at least.

White Scars, I feel like that is also unlikely. Homeworld's are across the galaxy.

With information information the way it is in the 41st millennium... who knows. Let me know thoughts? Lore from books? Speculation?

Edit: Minor corrections and reposting with correct title. <Blank> wolves chapter... its had to keep them all straight after hours an hours of research. Thinking one thing... typing another.
