Ok so, i'm new-ish to 40k. However, i'm looking to start gathering and building my first proper force. Right now i've got the contents of the start collecting! T'au, but I'm open to ideas.
I'm not keen on metal models, and would much prefer plastic (Preferably not resin, too many finecast horror stories there). My original hope was to construct an Eldar force, only to discover that apparently almost all of the aspect warriors only come in metal. Yes I know the news about plastic banshees, but still...
So if I wanted to have an army that was primarily plastic in origin, what are my best bets? Right now it seems like Tau, Guard, and Space Marines are my best options. AdMech, maybe?
Edit: Alternatively, perhaps I'm simply silly? Metal models seem to be something of a nightmare to work with from what i've seen, but are they all that different from metal?
