How has the meta changed from 7th to 8th?

I'm not very experienced with the crunch, I'm more the type to be screaming about CS Goto in /r/40klore, but I was just wondering how the meta of the game has changed with the new edition. Last edition it seemed that shooty, low-model mobile armies were the way to go, what with Eldar and Tau being up top. Has anything changed in the new edition? Are Orks or the Guard good again?
