What would happen if humans converted some Tau to the imperial faith?

It feels like the Tau might start to have their own religion and maybe fracture more.
Edit: I was wondering about how the other Taus will react. I know that the imperium is xenophobic and will kill them. But I don't know if other Taus will kill them first. And I was reading about some Tau children embracing some parts of the human culture so I was wondering what would happen if they converted
