Very new to the hobby and just as new to pairing. My first mini was a pretty basic Minotaur and this time around I wanted to try some new techniques. Here I've got my Black Templar terminator with an attempt at winter-esque frost/weathering. I unfortunately overworked the face and because of the way I went about doing it (and my lack of some paints) ended up attempting nuln oil in some recessed to give it more depth. Once I have some contrasts paints I'll hit the leadbelcher areas. Any additional feedback would be great! I've added my first mini as comparison.
Also if you have advice on how to achieve a dirty snowy/slushy/muddy base Id love to try it. Or if you think you know something that would work better! I do have a stirland mud technical paint but that's the only one right now. Thanks!

Yeah I had primed this in black and after I had started found out that was a mistake. I think on my next I'll try gray and avoid using black on the armor. I'll go with a darker gray and use a wash to bring it down even more
