Ran an 8x4 board with a couple recommendations before post got removed from Competitive.
Something like this?
8'x4' board, which is slightly larger than recommended Only play with sweeping or crucible style setups 2 extra NML objectives 60 secondary points / 80 primary points, 3 secondaries per turn, add 5pts to the primary a player can gain each turn and 5pts to single use primary objectives like scorched earth razing ~16 ruins pieces, 4 crate style pieces. Mid objective and 2 extra nml objectives should not be in range of any cover. Home objective should have a piece of extra cover from typical deepstrike angles. You should be able to drive a big tank through 2-3 lanes at least.
We found a double triangle in a 2019 boom as well, forgot to get a pick, that would work well.
We ended up with Sweeping and put 2 OBJs in deployment but they could only be capped and scored for secondaries if you wanted to defend.
Primary was scored in NML only because 3 OBJS there.
We made it to 5 extra points total a secondary, so if you got double Homers, you only scored an extra 5 instead of 10.
Both teams start with 2 CP and share the pool only going up 1 per round.
Rule interaction balancing is one of the major focuses:
So Drukhari get a Pain Token regardless who kills the enemy or Battleshocks them.
You get your bonus to attacking an OBJ your partner is on because itβs both of yours.
Your partner capping a sone extends the Shadow of Chaos.
Oath of Moment does not stack, cannot have 2 SM getting re-rolls to 2 targets, you only get it against your respective target.
Anyone have any other input, I am trying to make Onslaught a regular thing at my LGS. We are thinking next match will be 6 players at 1k each.
