New: (I posted this in the mini painting subreddit as well to see if they could help me with more painting related questions but I will post the same thing I did here).
New: (Recently bought the tactical marines, looking to learn a good legion to paint/play, also looking for recommendations for my next faction) Thank you everyone!!
I have recently in the last 2 weeks or so gotten into mini painting starting with warhammer as I’ve been a big fan for awhile…I got the starting kit and all the supplies needed some S tier brushes and a good light as well, the only thing I’m having trouble with is the actual paints. I picked up again the starting edition so I got the paints that came with it plus some gold and other shades I thought I might want..(reikland, nuln oil) etc.
I saw a post earlier today talking about the best paints as the corax white they give you isn’t the best white really at all…so I guess my question is does that also carry over to all the citadel colors? Should I be buying ProAcryl like most people in the comments recommended? I got the tactical squad of space marines a few days ago and I don’t want to paint all the marines the same colors as I’d like to explore the different chapters and legions.
My anxiety about starting out has been stressful because I want every detail to be perfect so I spend so much time on minuscule things while also wanting to get better but getting into that mindset that I will get better has been a challenge.
Any tips are appreciated as I enjoy the time I’ve put into it so far so much as I find so much peace in it and relaxation I’d just like to see some improvement!
